Meir Medical Center is one of the largest hospital in Israel. Meir was founded in 1956. Hospital is named after its founder Dr. Josef Mayer. The hospital has ahigh level of professionalism that illustrates by the fact that Meir medical complex was recognized as the best hospital in Israel five times in a row. Meir is a unique complex of medical services. It is characterized by its importance and size. So, today the clinic includes:
- Over 800 beds for hospitalization
- Almost 80 seats in dispensary
- Almost 70 seats for admission to hospital births
- 40 seats to undergo dialysis
- More than 120 departments and divisions.
Annual indicators of the clinic are:
- 20,000 different surgical procedures for the year
- 6000 deliveries
- 3 200 000 visits to physicians in medical center
- 320,000 hemodialysis
Meir Medical Center has a wide specialization, but in several directions practice and scientific research of hospital are learn in details. The main directions of practice are:
- Nephrology (kidney disease)
- Oncology (cancer)
- Gastroenterology (diseases of the gastrointestinal tract)
- Orthopedics (injuries of the musculoskeletal system)
- Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Meir Medical Center collaborates with the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. The result of this collaboration was the possibility of doctors practice at the hospital and actively participate in research at the university and undergraduate and graduate students to get more practice in this hospital under the supervision of experienced physicians. A high level of medical care and skill of doctors proves that the hospital was elected supervisor of the Olympic Committee of Israel. My mom Ludmila Gofman(77) Holocaust survivor has been admitted to Meir Hospital (Kfar Saba) on April 1st to Corona Bet department. She was admitted from Geriatric rehab center where she was receiving rehabilitation following surgery to repair a hip fracture, which she suffered in early March. Out of 30 people at the center (patients and staff) 15 were determined to be carriers of COVID-19. In addition to the current issues of COVID and broken hip she is a chronic sufferer… of diabetes and has received a stent in her heart. Because of the broken hip she cannot move without assistance anywhere. But while all that is known she cannot get any of the necessary medical treatments regardless of the COVID status. She needs a wheelchair to go to the bathroom, she needs insulin, monitoring of her blood sugar and such. From what we were told by her and some other patients whom we have reached by phone medical personnel cannot be reached even with a call button. A doctor who came to check this morning on them and was asked to request a wheel chair for her to go to the bathroom told her to do this into the diaper that they put on her and someone will come in to change it but the nurses and other medical personnel come in and out and say: later and she was in this for at least 6 hours prior to the doctor's visit. From the descriptions we can only conclude that the conditions in which they are being held are designed for them to die as quickly as possible or as slow as possible and the best way I can describe it is "a concentration camp for the sick". I've spoken with Miri from Public Relations and was told that the treatment that "The treatment that these people receive is the one that was prescribed by the Ministry of Health". I am frankly appalled if this is actually true that the Ministry would design treatment that would basically ignore all needs of the patients and seemingly just leave them to die! I am writing to you as a last resort because I have exhausted all other options and given my current location I cannot help her in person. And while some may be considering that my mother may be suffering from delusions I can assure you it is not the case. She is active in the community and up until a couple of years go was a director of a elder care housing (she would have stayed if not forcibly retired) in Kfar Saba.

בית חולים הכייייי מגעיל שראיתי.. לא מתייחסים לחולים כמו שצריך .. במקום לטפל באנשים יושבים וצוחקים .. ומדברים על קורונה וגם מלחיצים את החולים .. במיוחד במחלקת המיון .. מגעילים לגמריי אין יחס טוב לחולים .. אין התנהגות טובה לאנשים .. חצופים לגמריי זמן המתנה לא נורמאלי 4 שעות כבר יושבת מחכה לתשובת בדיקת דם !! … למה צריך כ"כ הרבה זמן לתוצאות אם יש בן אדם אחד במיון ! אני לבד במיון ומחכה כבר 4 שעות לתשובה וזה ממש לא הגיוני ! מזעזע ומגעיל מאוד בית חולים הכיי מגעיל

התקבלתי בסבר פנים יפות חרף הכאבים שסבלתי דווקא בגלל זה המצב דרש אמפטיה של כולם ואכן מהקבלה ועד לרופא האחות כולם היו אנושים. תודה רבה ובע"ה בריאות לכולנו

הבניין החדש יפה ומהודר, אבל היחס של האחיות וכוח העזר מזעזע!!!!! אתה יכול ללחוץ על לחצן המצוקה עד בוש ועד שמגיע מישהו אם בכלל, הוא שואל, יוצא ולא חוזר... הבטחון לא מגיע כדי לוודא שהמבקרים יצאו בזמן ויאפשרו לחולים לנוח... כי האחיות מחליטות שאין צורך לקרוא לביטחון...… המבקרים הערבים עושים במקום כשבשלהם, עושים רעש ללא הפסק, לא מכבדים כיבוי אורות, מתנכלים לחולים שמבקשים קצת שקט ומעמדת האחיות אין קול ואין מילה... לילה אחד, מבקר/מלווה שישן ליד מיטת אמו במיטה סמוכה בחדר שלי, השמיע כל הלילה את הקראת הקוראן בקולי קולות, כל הלילה!!! לילה אחר כך הוא נטפל אלי, שבורת צלעות (11 שברים!!) ומרותקת למיטה, בגלל שהתלוננתי על הקראת הקוראן בלילה קודם... לא אלאה אתכם, אבל הוא קלל ללא הרף, ביטל את קריאות המצוקה שלי ע"י לחיצה על לחצן הביטול שבתוך החדר, הרים את השמיכה מעלי וצילם אותי עם טיטול ואמר שהוא יפיץ לכל החברים שלו, מדי פעם ניגש למיטה וטלטל אותה כדי להעיר אותי וכשנמאס לו שאני חוזרת לישון, טלטל בפראות את המיטה וגרם לי לכאבי תופת, תוך שהוא צועק: " תמותי כבר, תמותי..." צעקות הכאב שלי והבכי הזעיקו את כל הצוות, אבל האירוע לא גרם להם להתקשר לבטחון או למשטרה ואולי אף להרחיק אותו מבית החולים... למחרת עשיתי הכל כדי להשתחרר והגעתי הביתה במצב שאינו מתאים לשהייה בבית לבד... כשאתחזק מעט ואחלים, אגיש תלונה למשטרה, למשרד הבריאות, להנהלת בית החולים ולמנהל מחלקת ריאות (שהגיע לשכנע אותי להשאר לאחר שדרשתי לעבור לבית חולים אחר) אך עד היום לא יצר עימי אף אחד מהבטחון קשר בעניין האירוע הקשה הזה... אדאג שהנושא הזה יגיע לתקשורת ולכל מי שרק יכול לסייע. תודה על הסבלנות ותשומת הלב

I have to compliment the staff of the Miyun department of Meir hospital. From the moment I was received to the very last explanation from the doctor, 4 hours later, I felt assured that I was getting the best attention. English, Hebrew didn't matter. Kol hakavod to all the staff and bloodtest dept.

בית חולים מצויין ,מיון ילדים מדהים הכי טוב שהייתי בו ,יחס מקצועיות ושירות טוב,הבן שלי שבר את היד ונדרש ניתוח,מרגע ההגעה ועד ביצוע הניתוח ומהלך האשפוז פשוט מדהימים !

בעלי אושפז בבית החולים במחלקת ריאות. צוות מקסים, מקצועי,אכפתי ואחראי. במהלך האישפוז גילינו שבית החולים הקים גינה חדשה, מטופחת ומקסימה להנאת החולים, המלווים והעובדים. גינה, ללא עישון!, רק חבל שצוות העובדים שלכם יושב שם ומעשן על המטופלים וכשמעירים להם הם מסתכלים עליהם כאילו הם לא בסדר. חבל מאוד!!!העיקר בית החולים מרושת בשלטים שהמפר את האיסור נקנס ב 1000 שח.

לצערי נאלצנו להגיע למיון הלילה וזו ממש חוויה קשה ביגלל צוות כל כך לא נעים שמתנהג בזילזול קשה למטופלים. ונכון שיש המון חולים וזמן ההמתנה ארוך עדיין זה לא נותן להן את הזכות לנהוג כך. זה רק מעט ממה שקורה פה . בושה וחרפה שכך מתנהגים במיון

אושפזתי במחלקה כירוגית א וברצןני לציין את הטיפול הנהדר שקיבלתי שם.עברתי שם ניתוח ויפל על ידי ד"ר עמיאל נתנאל .הניתוח והטיפול אחריו היה יוצא מהכלל.נתנו לי הרגשה של טיפולvip אני כבר המלצתי לרבים שאם יש להם בעיה רפואית שיבקשו להתשפז במאיר.
