Rothschild Foundation Hospital in numbers:

The Hospital was founded in 1909 and is among the oldest clinics in Paris. Now Hospital receives foreign patients from 45 countries.
In 2010, French magazine "Le Point" ranked the Hospital:
- the 1st for the effective treatment of cataract, myopia and cerebral aneurysm
- the 2nd for treatment retina diseases
- the 3rd for treating glaucoma.
Per year, Rothschild Foundation Hospital is on the list of the best ophthalmic and neurological centers.
The Hospital cooperates with the French Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the Institute of Health and Medical Research of France (INSERM). Cooperation with these organizations gave rise to 120 scientific projects.
Key specialties at Rothschild
Every year the Hospital is in the TOP-3 of French ophthalmological centers.
The Ophthalmology Department has specialized centers of pediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, retinal surgery and emergency ophthalmologic care available 7 days a week.
The surgical rooms are equipped with technologies for traditional eye treatment and innovative laser eye surgery. Eye surgeons perform operations for patients of all ages, including infants.
The Hospital offers 3 forms of hospitalization, depending on the type of surgery:
- short-term outpatient (no more than half a day);
- long-term outpatient (no more than a day);
- inpatient (more than a day).
Neurology Department
The Neurology Department has 3 specialized units for treatment and research of:
- stroke
- Parkinson's disease
- visual and cognitive functions
and own Electrophysiological lab.
The Department receives 3,500 patients per year.
Neurosurgery Center
The Neurosurgery Center consists of two subdivisions:
- The Children's Neurosurgery Department
- The Adult's Neurosurgery Department.
A team of neurosurgeons operates over 1,800 patients per year.
The Department has 3 digital operating rooms with a neuronavigation system. The system helps surgeons to perform all the procedures as precise as possible and reduce the risks. With the help of the system, doctors perform surgeries for treating epilepsy and Parkinson's disease (Deep Brain Stimulation).

A éviter !! , nous avons été aux urgences pour mon fils de 2 ans au sujet d un Chalazion , la 1et fois le médecin nous reçoit en nous disant que ceci n'est pas forcement un chalazion sans nous en dire plus , il nous donne un rendez vous pour une intervention dans 12 jours en nous disant quil ny aura pas forcement anesthésie Gernerale . Étrange ! Nous revenons 2 jours plus tard car la paupière avait un peu empirer et surtout que notre pédiatre nous avait conseillé du retourner. 4 h d'attentes pour être reçu par un médecin avec un ton méprisant, on aurait carrément dit qu'on le dérangeait d'être là ! Et qui nous prend " vous voulez quoi ? Qu'on intervienne tout de suite ? Vous avez que demander à votre pédiatre de le faire , il lui faut une anesthésie Generale on peut pas faire ça comme ça "Alors déjà avant de prendre les gens de haut , accorder vos violons avec vos collègues et puis si vous si on vous dérange, l'infirmière que nous avons vu 3 heures plutôt aurait pu très bien nous dire de rentrer. Cela m'aurait éviter de faire attendre mon fils de 2 ans pour entendre un médecin pareil.

N’y allez jamais.En tout cas jamais pour passer une IRM ou n’importe où dans le service d’imagerie.Pffff

Foncer !! Le docteur LE GUERINEL est génial. A votre écoute, clair net et précis dans ces propos. Très Pro! Faite lui confiance les yeux fermés .Le Chirurgien Mr ALKAIRY ABDU qui m'a opérée est quant à lui super. Je vous le garantis un service très professionnel.

I went to the hospital to do a partial graft of the cornea that was done by Dr. Alain saad. My experience was wonderful. Dr. Saad is tremendously professional straight to the point and very kind and objective. I also had the chance to meet Dr. Nicole Mechleb, colleague of Dr saad. She demonstrated a lot of professionalism and ethics. My overall experience was great. The team was very helpful. The surgery was smooth And the results were wonderful. I was able to see 10/10 one week after the surgery whereas my vision was 0/10 or 1/10 at best. I am very proud to have made the right choice And thanks to my initial doctor, Dr Ziad Khweir, I was able to regain my vision.

Le secrétariat me laisse un message vocal pour que je rappelle a un numéro pour prendre un rdv. Et cela fait deux jours que je les appelle plusieurs fois par jour pendant les horaires d'ouverture impossible d'avoir une personne au bout du fil !

Really good hospital. The staffs are respectful and responds to needs . The waiting time is long and it’s understandable as it’s the urgence unit . The doctors and nurses are very professional . Thanks to Dr Abdel for quickly performing the surgery as necessary with excellent results. I also want thank the nurse in urgence unit who helped us get to different places and explained stuffs to us in easy terms . I also really liked the two aide soignantes : one is a white woman with specs and other is a tall black girl who helped me find the exit , served us food and stuffs . Thank you

Bonjour,J'ai été en consultation anesthésie ce matin 13/02 en vue d'une chirurgie ORL prévue au mois de mars prochain.Mon rdv était à 08h00 et je suis arrivée sur place à 07h30 et là ma journée fût "presque gâchée" par un accueil déplorable...Elles étaient 2 à soit disant renseigner les patients mais elles font tout sauf leur travail... D'ailleurs, je leur ai dit qu'elles ne servaient à rien....J'ai ressenti un manque de respect total vis à vis des patients.Je n'avais pas beaucoup de temps ce matin mais j'aurai bien aimé en faire part à la Direction de la Clientèle de la Fondation.Je reste disponible si besoin.PS : je mets une étoile uniquement pour l'accueil car j'ai été très bien reçue par le médecin anesthésiste et en aucun cas je ne mets en doute les compétences des médecins de la Fondation.
