Associate Professor Nesrin Helvaci Yilmaz

Assoc. Prof. Nesrin Helvaci Yilmaz is a neurologist specializing in Parkinson's disease and movement disorders. She has conducted 30 clinical researches and led five Tubitak projects. Dr. Yilmaz develops personal treatment plans at the Medipol University Istanbul Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PARMER).

Specialization and Neurological Care

Dr. Yilmaz treats complex movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, and dystonia. She also treats epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and Alzheimer's disease. The doctor works with neurosurgeons to plan Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) — a surgical procedure that uses electrodes to regulate abnormal brain activity.
