Prof. Fan Yu is an organ transplant surgeon and Chief Physician at Xiamen Humanity Hospital. He directed a team that completed 112 kidney transplants and a combined liver–kidney transplant over two years. This specialist pioneered the diagnosis of chronic and subclinical rejection in China.

Prof. Yu focuses on kidney transplantation and surgical procedures for renal disease. He performs post-transplant care, including the precise adjustment of immunosuppressive medications. This work led him to develop a specialized clinical system for improving long-term graft survival. He also treats chronic kidney disease and performs nephrectomies and HLA-typing — a test that matches patients with organ donors.
