Dr. Florian Fitzal is a senior physician at Vienna General Hospital and Vienna Medical University. He specializes in breast and abdominal surgery. He is a certified surgeon and holds a Master of Public Health (MBA). Dr. Fitzal leads the Breast Health Center. He also serves as Scientific Director of the Surgical Center of the Breast.
He is an auditor for the European Council of Surgeons. He is also a board member of the Austrian Breast Cancer and Colorectal Cancer Research Group. Univ. Prof. Dr. Florian Fitzal is a leading Austrian oncologic and breast surgeon, internationally recognized for his expertise in breast cancer surgery, reconstructive techniques, and tumor biology research. With decades of experience in academic and clinical surgery, he has played a major role in advancing cancer treatment strategies and improving outcomes for patients across Europe.
He studied medicine at the University of Vienna, graduating in the 1990s, and completed his surgical residency at the Medical University of Vienna, where he soon specialized in general and visceral surgery.
