General Surgery : Training at the Red Cross Hospital in Barcelona (1982-1986).
Thoracic Surgery : Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, and Massachusetts General Hospital, New England Deaconess Hospital (Harvard Medical School), Boston, USA (1986-1987).
Experience at the Red Cross Hospital and Sagrat Cor de Barcelona (1988-1989).
Career : Consultant physician (1990-1993), clinical director (1994-1999) and director of the thoracic surgery service at a private medical centre in Barcelona (2000 to date).
Head of the Thoracic Surgery Service at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona (March 2010 to present).

145 scientific articles in national and international journals.
