Serdar Kacar

Assoc. Prof. Serdar Kacar is a general surgeon. He performed the first small intestine transplant in Turkey. Dr. Kacar also led the first kidney transplant operations at SSK Hospitals in Turkey. His career includes establishing several transplant centers.

Dr. Kacar treats obesity through metabolic and bariatric surgery. He has performed over 200 gastric reduction operations to date. He uses diverse techniques for weight loss and organ care.

Social Responsibility

Dr. Kacar served as a coordinator for a ten-year organ donation project. This initiative trained 150,000 elementary students on the importance of donation. He also provided education to 5,000 adults through various social activities. Additionally, he has served as a founding member and board member for several scientific associations.
