Dr. Yoon Shik Kang developed the Kang Repair, a specialized mesh-free hernia surgery technique. He has performed 40,000 surgical operations. This volume includes 20,000 successful mesh-free repairs for patients from 56 countries. Dr. Kang holds a Ph.D. from Seoul National University.

Advanced Hernia and Proctology Care

The Kang Repair avoids synthetic mesh to eliminate foreign-body risks and infections. It achieves a recurrence rate under 0.2% and chronic pain rates under 0.5%. Dr. Kang uses local anesthesia and a small incision for this procedure. These methods allow for rapid recovery and safer treatment for elderly patients.

The surgeon also treats umbilical hernias and inguinal hernias. He performs lipoma removals as well. These procedures focus on minimizing tissue trauma for the patient. He treats patients who seek alternatives to traditional mesh-based surgeries.
