Nephrologist

Dr. Izzet Yavuz is a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at Dicle University. He specializes in pediatric dentistry and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Yavuz has written many research articles and books. His work has helped improve pediatric oral health.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saydam Mehmet is a general surgeon at Lokman Hekim Istanbul Hospital (2025–present). His work covers oncologic, endocrine, and metabolic surgery. He performs laparoscopic surgery, including hernia repair and anti-reflux procedures. He also treats morbid obesity and type 2 diabetes. Sleeve gastrectomy is among his key procedures.

Education: He graduated from the Gülhane Military Medical Academy, Faculty of Medicine (1995–2001). He completed his general surgery residency there (2004–2009). He was a research fellow at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, Ryder Trauma Center (2015–2016).

Experience: He worked as a general surgery specialist at GATA Haydarpaşa, Girne Military, and Mevki Military. He later served as Associate Professor of General Surgery at Dışkapı, Sancaktepe, and Medical Park Gebze. Earlier, he practiced as a general practitioner in military medical services.

Prof. Dr. Gökhan Temiz is a distinguished nephrologist practicing at Memorial Bahçelievler and Memorial Ataşehir Hospitals in Istanbul. With over 24 years of clinical experience, he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney-related disorders, including chronic kidney disease, acute renal failure, kidney transplantation, dialysis management, and glomerulonephritis.

Dr. Temiz completed his medical education at Ondokuz Mayıs University and specialized in internal medicine and nephrology at Eskişehir Osmangazi University. He furthered his expertise with advanced training at Munich Technical University Klinikum Rechts der Isar Nephrology Clinic in Germany (2017-2018). He is an active member of the European Renal Association (ERA-EDTA), Turkish Nephrology Association, and serves on the Clinical Journal of Translation Turkey Committee.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Sinangil is a nephrologist with expertise in kidney failure. She has authored 30 international publications. She has also presented at 19 international scientific meetings.

Dr. Sinangil graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. She completed her specialization at Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital in 2004. In 2012, she finished a minor specialization at Istanbul Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital. She is a member of the Turkish Society of Nephrology, ERA, and EDTA. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Köroğlu is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Memorial Ankara Hospital (2024–present). She previously served as a faculty member at Gaziler Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital (2016–2024). She was Chief of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic at Elazığ Military Hospital (2011–2015). She earned her MD in 2003 from the GATA Faculty of Medicine. She completed her PM&R residency in 2011.

Her credentials include Ministry of Health–approved certified prolotherapy training. She has taught Prolotherapy and PRP (2022) and Knee Prolotherapy and Campinject (2019). Dr. Bahtishen Guven is a nephrologist with expertise in internal medicine and kidney transplantation. He graduated from Varna Medical Faculty and completed his nephrology training at Istanbul Marmara University. Dr. Guven has managed nephrology departments in several major hospitals in Istanbul. From 2010 to 2021, he was the chief nephrologist for the kidney transplantation team at Bahcesehir University Medicalpark Goztepe Hospital Complex.

He has extensive experience in kidney transplants and has made important contributions to organ transplantation. Dr. Guven has also worked as a part-time lecturer at Bahcesehir University.
