Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cenk Acar completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and his urology residency at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology. He worked as an assistant professor at Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology between June 2009 and November 2012. Between May 2012 and November 2012, he worked as a fellow in robotic and laparoscopic surgery in urologic cancers for 6 months in the Urology Department of “The Netherland Cancer Institute-AVL hospital”. He started to work at Acıbadem Ankara Hospital in November 2012. In September 2014, he completed the necessary academic qualifications and received the title of “Associate Professor”. After working in a private hospital in Ankara between 2015-2020, he continued his services in his private practice in Ankara until 2020 when he started Hisar Intercontinental Hospital.

In 2015, he was the chairman of the organizing committee of the first course on ‘Fluorescence Imaging in Urological Surgery’ in the field of urology in Turkey. In the following years, he chaired many urology and multidisciplinary courses on ICG fluorescence imaging under the umbrella of Urology Associations. In 2017, for the first time in Turkey, he started to apply Bipolar Prostate Enucleation in benign prostate enlargement in his clinic. Later, he started to use his increasing experience in surgeries such as HOLEP and THUFLEP.

In his career, Dr. Acar, who is especially interested in Urological Cancers, Urinary System Stones, HOLEP, THUFLEP, Endourology, and Robotic and Laparoscopic Urological Surgeries, has carried out many successful operations. He has performed over 500 urological cancer surgeries, over 250 HOLEP surgeries, countless endoscopic stone surgeries, and numerous robotic and laparoscopic surgeries.

In his professional career, Dr. Sarıer began working as a urology specialist at Özel Antalya Yaşam Hospital from 2005 to 2008, and then served at Gümüşsuyu Asker Hospital between 2008 and 2009. Since 2009, he has been employed at Medical Park Antalya Hospital, where he received the title of associate professor in 2020. Additionally, he served as a faculty member in the Department of Urology at Altınbaş University Faculty of Medicine from 2016 to 2017, and has been continuing his academic career as a faculty member in the Department of Urology at İstinye University Faculty of Medicine since 2021.

Prof. Dr. Ali Ferruh Akay is a board-certified urologist with more than 30 years of medical experience. He has specialized in urology for over 25 years. He currently serves as Professor of Urology at Başkent University Istanbul Hospital.

Dr. Akay earned his medical degree from Dokuz Eylul University. He completed his urology residency at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine. In 2005, he received advanced training in Endourology and Laparoscopic Surgery at the University of Rochester in the USA.

He has worked at several leading institutions. These include Dicle University, Istanbul Training and Research Hospital, Memorial Diyarbakır Hospital, Veni Vidi Hospital, and Başkent University Istanbul Hospital.

Dr. Akay’s expertise includes uro-oncology, endourology, minimally invasive procedures, stone surgeries, male infertility, erectile dysfunction, and BPH. He has published over 100 scientific articles and is an active member of the European Association of Urology (EAU).
