Түркияда туған және өскен Доктор Пера, 2008 - 2013 жылдары аралығында үлкен беделге ие Хажеттепе университетінің стоматология факультетінде оқып, тіс дәрігері болу жолында алғашқы қадамдарын жасады. Доктор Онур Шахин окончил стоматологический факультет Университета Хаджеттепе в 2011 году и завершил специализированную подготовку на кафедре челюстно-лицевой хирургии Университета Гази в 2016 году. С 2017 года он работает академиком на кафедре челюстно-лицевой хирургии Измирского университета Катип Челеби. В 2021 году ему было присвоено звание доцента. Кроме того, с 2017 года он продолжил обучение в докторантуре на медицинском факультете Университета Эге, на кафедре стволовых клеток. Интересы доктора Онура Шахина включают в себя передовую имплантологию, аугментацию твердых и мягких тканей атрофированных челюстей, лечение all-on-X, скуловые, крыловидные и трансназальные имплантаты, медикаментозный остеонекроз челюсти (MRONJ), а также стволовые клетки и регенеративную терапию. Он был приглашенным докладчиком на многих национальных и международных симпозиумах по имплантологии и челюстно-лицевой хирургии и провел множество практических и кадаверных курсов по имплантологии. Доктор Шахин, который выполнил первый случай с имплантатами скуловой кости, крыловидной кости и трансназальной имплантации в Турции, имеет более 100 пациентов, прошедших лечение с помощью этих имплантатов. Он опубликовал более 50 статей в национальных и международных журналах и более 100 постеров/устных докладов, представленных на национальных и международных конгрессах, связанных с его научной областью. Также на сегодняшний день было сделано более 300 ссылок на публикации доктора Шахина.
