Prof. Dr. Sezer Sağlam is a medical oncologist at Gayrettepe Florence Nightingale Hospital. He specializes in gastrointestinal and breast cancers. He has contributed to cancer care through research, especially with his study on the best timing for surgery after neoadjuvant therapy in rectal cancer. This work has influenced global treatment protocols.

Dr. Sağlam has led clinical trials in targeted therapies and precision medicine. His research on liver-transplanted patients with hepatocellular carcinoma was nominated for the 2024 International Best Researcher Award. He is a member of ASCO, ESMO, and ENET. Dr. Sağlam provides personalized and evidence-based oncology care.

Dr. Tunc Ozdemir is a leading urologist in Istanbul. He specializes in uro-oncology, focusing on prostate cancer and kidney tumor treatment. He is a pioneer in robotic surgery. Dr. Ozdemir helped establish Turkey’s first robotic urologic surgery program. He also performed the country’s first robotic sacrocolpopexy operations.

He is Professor and Head of Urology at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital and Bilim University. Dr. Ozdemir has received several international awards. These include the Karl Storz Second Prize at SEEM 2010 and Best Video Presentation at ERUS 2010. He is a member of the European Association of Urology and Turkish Urology societies. His work shows a strong commitment to advancing urologic care.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cenk Acar completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and his urology residency at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology. He worked as an assistant professor at Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology between June 2009 and November 2012. Between May 2012 and November 2012, he worked as a fellow in robotic and laparoscopic surgery in urologic cancers for 6 months in the Urology Department of “The Netherland Cancer Institute-AVL hospital”. He started to work at Acıbadem Ankara Hospital in November 2012. In September 2014, he completed the necessary academic qualifications and received the title of “Associate Professor”. After working in a private hospital in Ankara between 2015-2020, he continued his services in his private practice in Ankara until 2020 when he started Hisar Intercontinental Hospital.

In 2015, he was the chairman of the organizing committee of the first course on ‘Fluorescence Imaging in Urological Surgery’ in the field of urology in Turkey. In the following years, he chaired many urology and multidisciplinary courses on ICG fluorescence imaging under the umbrella of Urology Associations. In 2017, for the first time in Turkey, he started to apply Bipolar Prostate Enucleation in benign prostate enlargement in his clinic. Later, he started to use his increasing experience in surgeries such as HOLEP and THUFLEP.

In his career, Dr. Acar, who is especially interested in Urological Cancers, Urinary System Stones, HOLEP, THUFLEP, Endourology, and Robotic and Laparoscopic Urological Surgeries, has carried out many successful operations. He has performed over 500 urological cancer surgeries, over 250 HOLEP surgeries, countless endoscopic stone surgeries, and numerous robotic and laparoscopic surgeries.

Assoc. Prof. Gorkem Turkkan started his medical education at Gülhane Military Medical Academy in 2003 and completed it at Zonguldak Karaelmas (Bülent Ecevit) University Faculty of Medicine in 2009. He completed his specialization at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology and became a radiation oncology specialist in 2016.

After completing his compulsory service, he served as a Lecturer and Head of Department at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology, from May 2019 to February 2021. Meanwhile, between March and June 2020, he worked as a clinical researcher at Maastricht University Faculty of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology – MAASTRO Clinic (Netherlands) on stereotactic radiotherapy, thoracic radiotherapy-related lung toxicity and proton therapy. While he was working at İstinye University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology and Liv Hospital Ulus Radiation Oncology Clinic between March 2021 and April 2023, he received the title of Associate Professor in February 2023. She has been serving her patients at Hisar Hospital Intercontinental since May 2023.

He has performed both traditional radiotherapy and advanced radiotherapy throughout his career. He is one of the experienced physicians in our country in stereotactic radiotherapy and MRI-guided radiotherapy treatments, which have become increasingly popular and used especially recently. So far, he has successfully completed more than 2500 radiotherapy sessions with the MR-Linac device.

He has been a member of the Turkish Society of Radiation Oncology (TROD) since 2013 and the European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) since 2015. He has 27 articles published in domestic and international journals, 31 oral-poster presentations presented at national and international congresses, and 5 book chapters published by national and international publishing houses. He taught Term I and Term V undergraduate courses at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Medicine, postgraduate courses within the scope of Ear Nose and Throat Department Specialization training, and Radiotherapy associate degree courses at İstinye University Vocational School of Health Services. She is currently working on 2 ongoing TÜBİTAK Projects. He is married and has a son.

Проф. д-р Абдулмуталип Шимшек

Проф. д-р Абдулмуталип Шимшек 2005 жылы Ыстамбұл университетінің Медицина факультетін тамамдады. 2010 жылы "Урология" саласы бойынша Қор Гуреба ауруханасында "Мамандандыру Дайындығын" аяқтады. Ыстамбұл медицина факультетінде, Лютфие Нури Боран мемлекеттік ауруханасында және Хасеки оқыту және зерттеу ауруханасында зерттеулер жүргізген Проф. д-р Абдулмуталип Шимшек 2015 жылы Доцент атағын алды.

2015-2016 жылдар аралығында Шеффилд университетінде және Халамшир ауруханасында зерттеулер жүргізді. 2016 жылы Түркияға оралған соң, Проф. Бакыркөй Сади Конук оқыту және зерттеу ауруханасында оқытушы көмекшісі болып қызмет атқарды. Д-ктор Абдулмуталип Шимшек 2020 жылдан бері Башакшехир Чам және Сакура ауруханасында уролог ретінде жұмыс істейді.

Проф. урология саласында жаңашыл көзқарасы бар. Д-р Абдулмуталип Шимшек дамып келе жатқан технологияның артықшылықтарын пайдаланып, өз пациенттерін емдейді. Проф. көптеген халықаралық зерттеулер мен ғылыми жарияланымдар арқылы урология саласына айтарлықтай үлес қосты. Д-р Абдулмуталип Шимшек өз пациенттерін Роботтық және қалпына келтіру урологиясының маманы ретінде емдейді.

Dr. Ozkan Onuk is a skilled urologist with expertise in urooncology, endourology, female urology, andrology, laparoscopic surgery, pediatric urology, and incontinence. He is known for performing complex procedures such as nephrectomy, robotic da Vinci prostatectomy, bladder removal, and vasectomy.

Dr. Onuk earned his medical degree and MSc from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his Ph.D. in Urology at Taksim E.A.H. In 2020, he became an Associate Professor at New Century University. He has a strong academic background and extensive surgical experience, especially in minimally invasive and robotic urological surgeries.
