Duties

• Performing routine and major Penile / Urethral Reconstruction as well as Core Urology procedures twice weekly at Victoria and Queen Margaret Hospitals (Green light prostatectomy, Urolift Service lead, Prostate template biopsies, General urology)

Consultant Urologist providing and supervising the services of andrology and urethral reconstruction surgery. Also covering a general urology one stop outpatient clinics three times per week (Victoria and Queen Margaret Hospitals).

Professional experience 

Dr. n. med. Marek Filipek serves as the Head of the Urology Department of the Independent Specialist Western Hospital in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. He created from scratch one of the most modern and best equipped urology departments in Poland. For many years, Dr. Filipek was associated with the Urology Clinic of the Jagiellonian University Medical College, where he worked as a senior assistant and lecturer. In the years 2000-2006, he was the head of the Urology Department of the St. Luke Provincial Hospital in Tarnów.

He participated in many scientific and advanced courses. He spent internships and scholarships in many prestigious foreign urology centers, including the Professor F. Dr. Jacob Ben-chaim is a Pediatric Urologist at the Sourasky Medical Center with experience in chemical immunology, laparoscopic pyeloplasty, and ECFMG certification. Dr. Ozkan Onuk is a skilled urologist with expertise in urooncology, endourology, female urology, andrology, laparoscopic surgery, pediatric urology, and incontinence. He is known for performing complex procedures such as nephrectomy, robotic da Vinci prostatectomy, bladder removal, and vasectomy.

Dr. Onuk earned his medical degree and MSc from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his Ph.D. in Urology at Taksim E.A.H. In 2020, he became an Associate Professor at New Century University. He has a strong academic background and extensive surgical experience, especially in minimally invasive and robotic urological surgeries.

Dr. Georg Schatzl is a urologist and andrologist. He specializes in men’s health, including erectile dysfunction, infertility, prostate diseases, and urinary tract disorders. He has performed thousands of procedures. Dr. Schatzl is known for his skill in both clinical and surgical urology.

He is an Extraordinary University Professor and a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU). Dr. Schatzl has published nearly 100 articles in international journals. His work has an impact factor of over 521 and a high h-index. He has given more than 500 presentations at national and international conferences. He also reviews articles for leading urology journals.

Dr. Schatzl has received awards such as the Mauermayerpreis (2003) and the Pfizer Prostate Award (1998). He leads the Prostate Work Group of the Austrian Board of Urology. He also has experience in quality assurance and medical management.
