Prof. Dr. Alaettin Çelik graduated from Adapazarı İlyaslar Primary School in 1960, from Haydarpaşa High School in 1966, and from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1972. In the same year, he became an assistant in the 2nd Surgery Department of the Faculty of Medicine. Between November 1975 and February 1976, he completed his military service for 4 months at the Gelibolu Military Hospital as a Reserve Officer. In 1977, he became a General Surgery Specialist in the Department of Surgery.
To establish the pediatric surgery department at the faculty and to specialize further, he worked as a registrar at the University of London's "The Hospital for Sick Children" from 01.12.1978 to 01.12.1980. After returning to the faculty, he continued his pediatric surgery studies and became an associate professor in 1982.
In the same year, he was appointed as the founding chairman of the Pediatric Surgery Department at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine on 06.09.1982. He established the department, which included a 30-bed inpatient unit, an ICU, a polyclinic, and an operating room for students, assistants, and specialists. In 1988, he became a professor. In addition to leading the Pediatric Surgery Department, he served as the Vice President of the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences between 1990 and 1995. From 1995 to 1998, he was the Head of the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.
He is a specialist in General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, and Pediatric Urology. He has numerous cited and published clinical and experimental research articles, case reports, expert theses, and free papers presented at domestic and international congresses. He is the author of several books, including Pediatric Surgery Book of Pediatric Surgery (2014), Newborn Surgery (2008), and Pediatric Surgery Book (2013).
He is a member of various professional medical associations, including the Turkish Ministry of Health Pediatric Surgery Society. He established, developed, and trained a large number of students, assistants, specialists, and faculty members at the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatric Surgery. He left the Department of Pediatric Surgery in 2013 and retired due to age limits on 16.03.2016. His contracted working period at the same faculty ended on 22.10.2016. He continues to work as a Pediatric Surgery Specialist at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital and participates in weekly meetings of the Council of Children's Tumors.
Assoc. Prof. Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz graduated from Hacettepe University in 2000 as a Medical Doctor. She completed her specialty training in the Department of Neurology at Ankara University in 2006.
She started her compulsory service in Mardin Nusaybin State Hospital in 2007. Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz continued her duty in Gaziantep 27 December State Hospital in 2008. She worked as a neurologist at Biophysis Nilüfer Medical Center and Ali Osman Sönmez Oncology Hospital in Bursa between 2010-2011, and at Istanbul Universal Aksaray Hospital between 2011-2012. From October 2012, she started to work as a Doctor Lecturer in Istanbul Medipol University Neurology Department. Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz received the title of associate professor in 2021. In 2015, she worked as an Honorary Observer in Parkinson's Disease and Deep Brain Stimulation (Neuromodulation) at UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, National Hospital for Neurology in London. She took part in many training programs on Deep Brain Stimulation (Neuromodulation) in Turkey and abroad between 2013-2022.
Regarding her speciality in Parkinson's disease and movement disorders, she has 5 Tubitak projects, a 2-chapter book , 30 clinical researches and 80 reports presented in domestic and abroad. Assoc. Prof. Nesrin Helvacı Yılmaz, who is still working within the staff of Medipol University, managed the Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Unit of the Department of Neurology during her working time and plans Deep Brain Stimulation therapy applications with the neurosurgical team.
Since September 2018, she has been working as a coordinator for student education in the 5th semester of Neurology. As of December 2022, she has developed treatment plans for patients at Medipol University Istanbul Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PARMER) and provides the most appropriate personal medical follow-up and treatment support for each patient.

In the same year, he started working as a research assistant at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and became a Psychiatry Specialist in 2009. After becoming a specialist, he worked at NPISTANBUL hospital until 2015 and during this time he took an active role in the establishment of Turkey's first private Addiction Treatment Center. Between 2015 and 2023, he held various positions in Acıbadem Health Group and received the title of Associate Professor in Psychiatry in 2019.
Since the most important factor in his choice of psychiatry is his interest in addiction and related problems, he has done a significant part of his scientific research in this field since the first days he started working as a research assistant. At the same time, Prof. Dr. Serdar Nurmedov, who has completed many trainings in this field in Turkey and abroad, has been an observer in psychiatry and addiction rehabilitation centers in many countries including the United States of America, the Netherlands and the Russian Federation.

Prof. Dr. Yasef began his medical education at Istanbul University in 1973 and graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1979.
