Pediatric surgeon

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan BABACAN completed his undergraduate, specialty and sub-specialty education at GATA Military Medical Faculty/Ankara. After becoming a specialist in Pediatrics, he worked in the field of Social Pediatrics for two years, where Healthy Baby Monitoring and vaccine follow-up were carried out. Then, she completed her subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and continued her studies in the field of pediatric blood and cancer diseases. In addition to the treatment of children suffering from leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors and other blood diseases, she has been working in the Bone Marrow Transplantation (Transplant) Unit for 13 years in Allogeneic (unrelated and intrafamilial), Autologous (from the patient himself) and Haploidentical (partially HLA compatible) hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. In 2018, he received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Science/Art.

Dr. Ozden Gul is a general surgeon trained at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital. She has decades of surgical experience and is fluent in English.

Her practice includes gastrointestinal surgery (gallbladder disease, hernias, appendicitis, GI disorders). Dr. Mustafa Aydın is an Internal Medicine specialist. He graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2009. He provides evidence-based care for adults, including diagnosis and treatment. He communicates in English.

Dr. Apak has worked as assistant editor for the Turkish Pediatrics Archives Periodical. Dr. Mehmet Ozek is a leading pediatric neurosurgeon with more than 35 years of experience. He focuses on brain and spinal surgery for children. He is well known for treating complex cranial and spinal malformations, brain tumors, and epilepsy in young patients.

Dr. Ozek has performed over 10,000 pediatric neurosurgical procedures. His work has achieved high success rates recognized worldwide. He has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and written several book chapters. His research has helped advance pediatric neurosurgery on a global scale.

He is an active member of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery. Dr. Ozek has received several international awards for his work. He holds leadership roles in global pediatric neurosurgical groups and regularly attends international scientific meetings.

Sema Yılmaz was born on July 30, 1965. She received her undergraduate degree from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty and completed her medical residency training at the Department of Pediatrics at Zeynep Kamil Women's and Children's Health and Diseases Hospital. She also completed her medical subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Cukurova University. Her medical residency thesis was titled "The Relationship Between Morning First Urine Density and Nocturnal Enuresis in Children Aged 3-6 Years", and her medical subspecialty thesis was titled "Comparison of Sphingosine 1-phosphate Receptor 4 Gene Expression in Healthy Children and Neuroblastoma Patients". She started her medical career as a general practitioner. After working as a general practitioner for 4 years, she worked as a doctor researcher at Zeynep Kamil Women's and Children's Health and Diseases Training and Research Hospital for 5 years. She then served as a specialist doctor, assistant professor, and associate professor at various institutions. She worked at Houston MD Anderson, North Carolina-UNC, Boston-Harvard University in the USA. Additionally, she conducted research on cell therapies. She received the title of professor in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Usak Medical Faculty. She is a member of the Turkish Pediatric Oncology Group, European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), Turkish Medical Association, Turkish National Pediatrics Association, Turkish Pediatrics Association, Pediatrics Specialty Academy Association (PUADER), Turkish Immunology Association, Turkish Hematology Association, and Molecular Oncology Association (MOKAD). Prof. Dr. Ceyhun Bozkurt is a respected Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist. He is known for his work in childhood blood disorders and cancers. He graduated from Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. He holds specializations in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Oncology. Since 2019, he has been Professor and Clinical Director at Bahçelievler Medical Park Hospital. He also serves as Vice Director of the Stem Cell Transplant Unit.
