Prof. Selin Kapan has been a Professor of General Surgery since 2017. She is currently with Istanbul Aydın University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery (2022–present). She previously worked at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital as a Specialist and Associate Professor. She also served as Educational and Administrative Supervisor at Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital. In addition, she was Medical Coordinator and General Surgeon at Istanbul Surgery Hospital.
She has authored or co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed papers. Her research covers hernia repair, perianal fistula, pilonidal disease, hepatic hydatid disease, laparoscopic surgery, and gastrointestinal surgery. Her work has been published in journals such as Digestive Surgery, Hernia, Techniques in Coloproctology, and the Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery. She is a member of the Turkish Surgical Association, the National Trauma and Emergency Surgery Association, the Hernia Society, the Turkish HPB Surgery Association, the Stem Cell and Cellular Therapies Association, and the Gastroesophageal Reflux Association.
Dr. Goldman is a 24-year experienced Deputy Head of the Department of Surgery in Ichilov Hospital and Head of Department of Proctology, with memberships in the International Society of Coloproctology, European Society of Abdominal Surgeons, Israel Surgical Association, and European Society of Coloproctology.
Dr. Igor Sukhotnik is a Senior Pediatric Surgeon at Dana Dweck Children’s Hospital, Ichilov Medical Center. He has 29 years of clinical experience. He is known for his advanced skills in pediatric surgery. Dr. Sukhotnik has also worked as a visiting professor at Tel Aviv University.
He graduated from Chernivtsi Medical University in Ukraine. He has held academic roles, including Associate Professor at the Israel Institute of Technology. Professor Michele Reni is an experienced medical oncologist with over 30 years of practice based in Italy. He specializes in pancreatic adenocarcinoma, gastro-esophageal cancers, and central nervous system tumors. He has published over 180 papers on cancer treatment and is the coordinator of Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM) guidelines for treatment and management of pancreatic cancer. Dr. Nuamanovych is a member of the Ukrainian Association of Bariatric Surgeons and the World Organization of Bariatric Surgeons (IFSO).
He works as a WHO consultant on laparoscopic surgery. He is also President of the Association of Arab Doctors of Ukraine.
