Dr. Irene Marthe Lang is a leading cardiologist and vascular surgeon at Vienna General Hospital (AKH). She is also a Professor at the Medical University of Vienna. Dr. Lang introduced Austria’s method for widening narrowed pulmonary vessels. She leads research in cardiopulmonary medicine, hemodynamics, and vascular interventions.

Dr. Lang graduated with highest honors, “sub auspiciis praesidentis.” She received national recognition, including an honorary order for her services to Austria in 2016. Dr. Krishna Iyer is one of India's front ranking paediatric cardiac surgeons, recognised for his clinical expertise and wide ranging involvement with cardiac care for children in India and other developing nations, Dr. Iyer initiated the first dedicated paediatric cardiac care program in Northern India , a pioneering initiative, at Escorts Heart Institute Research Centre( now Fortis-Escorts Heart Institute ) in 1995. Under his guidance this paediatric cardiac program has become the benchmark for cardiac care for children for India and its South East Asian neighbours. Dr. Iyer has operated on more than 10,000 babies, children and adults with congenital heart diseases comprising various procedures like arterial switch procedure, double switch operation TAPVC repairs, Fontan and Fontan type procedures, corrections for tetralogy of Fallot, DORV, Truncus etc. Senning operation, conduit repairs and wide range of one stage and multi-stage corrections for complex congenital heart diseases. He has done original work on rapid two-stage arterial switch procedure and performed the first successful rapid two stage arterial switch and double-switch operation in India. His current interests are perfecting complex neonatal cardiac surgery, cardiac surgery in malnourished infants and children, salvaging late presenters of congenital heart disease, and developing cost effective cardiac care for children in developing countries. After basic training, he joined the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at AIIMS and was Additional Professor at the time he moved to Escorts Heart Institute to set up its paediatric cardiac care division. He trained in paediatric and infant cardiac surgery under the guidance of the renowned paediatric cardiac surgeon Dr. R.B.B.Mee as Senior Fellow at the Department of Paediatric Cardiac Surgery at Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne in Australia in 1989. He is involved in many charities for underprivileged children, most notably the 'Gift of Life' program of Rotary International.

Dr. Fernando Villagrá is a respected cardiovascular surgeon who specializes in pediatric cardiac surgery. He completed his medical degree at the Complutense University of Madrid. He later earned his specialization in Cardiovascular Surgery at the Autonomous University of Madrid. His doctoral thesis received the distinction of “Outstanding Cum Laude.”

Dr. Villagrá has more than 40 years of experience. He has led pediatric cardiac surgery departments at top hospitals in Spain, including Hospital Universitario La Paz and Montepríncipe University Hospital. He has performed thousands of complex surgeries. He has also contributed to over 100 scientific publications in both international and national journals.

He is a member of the Spanish Society of Cardiology. He also serves on the editorial boards of leading medical journals. This reflects his dedication to advancing cardiovascular medicine.

Kürşat Fidancı is a medical doctor who graduated from GATA Faculty of Medicine in 1999. Between 2000 and 2002, he served as the Chief Physician of the Şırnak Çakırsöğüt Commando Brigade. He completed his residency in Pediatrics from 2002 to 2006 at Istanbul GATA Haydarpaşa Training and Research Hospital. He worked as a Pediatrician at Ankara Beytepe Military Hospital between 2006 and 2009. He completed his subspecialty training in Paediatric Cardiology at GATA Faculty of Medicine Pediatric Cardiology Department from 2010 to 2013. He became an Assistant Professor in 2014 and obtained the title of Associate Professor in April 2016. He worked as a faculty member in the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at GATA Faculty of Medicine between September 2014 and December 2021. As a pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Kürşat Fidancı has seen numerous patients and his medical interests include Fetal Echocardiography, Congenital Heart Diseases, Rheumatic Heart Diseases, Rhythm Disorders, and Athlete's Heart Health and Follow-up.

Born in Ankara in 1980, he received his primary and secondary education in Artvin, his hometown. He graduated from Inebolu High School in 1997 and started studying at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine the same year. He received his Medical Doctor degree in 2003 and ranked high in the medical specialization exam the same year.

He started his cardiology specialization education in the Department of Cardiology at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine and became a cardiology specialist in 2008.

He served as an interventional cardiologist in Rize Education and Research Hospital during his mandatory service.

He worked in the field of electrophysiology with Prof. Dr. Remzi Karaoğuz at Ankara Güven Hospital. He became an Associate Professor in January 2014 and a Professor in 2023.

Throughout his academic career, he has published many scientific publications that have been published nationally and internationally and have received high citations. He provides patent and consultancy services for medical engineering in addition to clinical medical education and treatment services. He is a member of national and international scientific societies. Dr. Pradeep Chand S Nair is a skilled cardiac surgeon with more than 20 years of experience. He received his training at AIIMS, New Delhi, and Waikato Hospital, New Zealand. Dr. Nair has performed many complex heart surgeries, such as the Bentall procedure, CABG-Redo, and double valve replacement.

He holds an MCh in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery. Dr. Nair has worked as a consultant in top hospitals in India, Sri Lanka, and the UAE. He has advanced training in adult cardiac procedures and minimally invasive heart surgeries. Dr. Nair is well respected in his field.

Prof. Dr. Mert Yilmaz is a board-certified cardiovascular surgeon with more than 30 years of experience. He specializes in both adult and pediatric cardiac surgery. He graduated from Istanbul University in 1988. He completed his residency at Uludag University and received further training at the Royal South Hants Hospital in the UK.

Dr. Yilmaz was among the first in Turkey to perform endovascular repair of abdominal aneurysms. He completed the country’s second case. He has led cardiovascular surgery departments at leading hospitals. He now heads the department at Kadıköy Florence Nightingale Hospital. He is also a full professor at Halic University and an international member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (USA).

Op. Dr. Faruk Gençoğlu completed his medical faculty career, which he started at Samsun 19 Mayıs University, by joining the academic staff of Istanbul Cerrahpaşa Cardiology Institute in 2015 and receiving his specialization in 2020. Gençoğlu, who actively took part in approximately 3 thousand cases during this process; He has performed surgery for adult cardiovascular diseases such as adult coronary artery disease, heart valve diseases (aortic-mitral-tricuspid), aortic surgery, carotid surgery, peripheral vascular diseases, venous insufficiency (varicose veins), deep vein thrombosis. Gençoğlu, who restarted cardiac surgery at Batman Training and Research Hospital in 2021, served as the clinical chief of open heart surgery for 2 years.
