The Neurology Unit of the Quirónsalud Marbella Hospital specialises in the study and treatment of conditions associated to the nervous system, the brain, the spinal cord, the peripheral nerves and the muscles. We have the most advanced technology that enables us to make accurate and personalised diagnoses and treatments in the study of patients with complex diagnoses and treatments (MRI, CT scan,electroencephalogram, transacranial doppler ultrasound, cerebral arteriogramand neuropschycological testing).

In 2011 he became the first medical professional in the world to use the 15-mm AXIOS stent in pancreatic fluid collection drainage. In 2018 he began to perform gastroenteroanastomosis with luminal apposition stent in patients with pancreatic cancer and bowel obstruction, thus becoming a pioneer in Andalusia to perform such technique.

He is a coauthor of the reference guides of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy on the endoscopic treatment of chronic pancreatitis and non-variceal gastrointestinal haemorrhage.

Dr. Meryem Eken is an obstetrician-gynecologist and IVF specialist. She earned her M.D. and completed her residency at Istanbul University. She heads the IVF Unit at Bahçeşehir University Medical Park Göztepe Hospital. She started in 2025. She has served on the faculty of Üsküdar University since 2024. Dr. Everardo Treviño Ortiz is a gynecologist and subspecialist in reproductive medicine. He trained at Tecnológico de Monterrey, the National Institute of Perinatology (INPer), and the Gynecology and Obstetrics Center of Monterrey.

He has professional experience at Texas Woman’s Hospital in Houston, USA. He has also served as a consultant for Nova Fertility in Manchester, UK, and Umbalktum Fertility Center in Hargeisa, Somalia. His thesis was the first study in Mexico on GnRH antagonists. He helped introduce double stimulation (DuoStim) protocols in Mexico and at Advanced Fertility Center Cancún (AFCC). Dr. Mustafa Yavuz Samanci is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Medipol Acıbadem District Hospital in Istanbul. He has specialized training in stereotactic, functional, and pediatric neurosurgery. Dr. Samanci completed a clinical fellowship in Gamma Knife Radiosurgery. He has also finished advanced programs in spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation. He received several TÜBİTAK postdoctoral research fellowships and the Prof. Dr. Hakan Caner Overseas Education Scholarship from the Turkish Neurosurgical Society.
