He graduated from Gülhane Military Medical Academy in 1990. In 1991, he took a course in Aviation and Space Medicine and Physiology in Eskişehir Aviation and Space Medicine Center. He received his specialization in Pediatric Health and Diseases from the Department of Pediatrics at Gülhane Military Medical Academy between 1993-1997. He worked as a paediatrician at Güzelyalı Air Hospital between 1997-1999. He worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Pediatrics at Gülhane Military Medical Academy between 1999-2002. He worked as a research fellow at the University of South Florida College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics between 2002-2003. He worked as an assistant professor at Gülhane Military Medical Academy between 2006-2011. He became an associate professor in 2011 and a full professor in 2018.
