Experience

On his return from London, he organized and directed the Arrhythmia Unit of the Cardiology Service of the University Hospital Nuestra Señora del Pino in Las Palmas until 2000.

He later became Deputy Director of the Arrhythmia Department and Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory at the Jimenez Diaz Foundation in Madrid.

Professor of Cardiology at the Autonomous University and Director of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (Heart Rhythm Society) Fellowship Program, positions he held for 6 years before moving to the Quironsalud University Hospital of Madrid in 2006.

Dr. Omer Burcak Binicier is a gastroenterology specialist with strong medical training. He earned his medical degree at Ege University. Born in 1978 in Istanbul, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Gökhan ATIŞ completed his medical degree at Istanbul University’s Faculty of Medicine in 2002. He pursued his urology specialization at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital and became a certified urologist in February 2008. Following his military service at Edremit Military Hospital, he began working at Göztepe Training and Research Hospital in 2009.

In 2011, he received training in laparoscopic and robotic urology at Heidelberg University’s Heilbronn Clinic. Between 2009 and 2014, he conducted numerous scientific studies, especially in the field of endourology, earning the title of Associate Professor in 2014.

Since 2017, he has served on the board of the Endourology Society. His clinical focus includes advanced endoscopy (ERCP, EUS, EMR, ESD, POEM, EGD, colonoscopy, double-balloon enteroscopy), inflammatory bowel disease, and hepatology.

He has about 40 publications. His work appears in The Turkish Journal of Gastroenterology, Scientific Reports, Endoscopy, and Digestive Diseases and Sciences. Notable studies address vedolizumab in IBD and prophylaxis for post-ERCP pancreatitis. He also reported a 13-year Crohn’s cohort comparing infliximab and adalimumab. Additional work covers outcomes with an adalimumab biosimilar and innovative endoscopic therapies (MCA via double-balloon enteroscopy, holmium laser for Bouveret syndrome, POEM for Zenker’s diverticulum, and ESD for esophageal papillomatosis).

Dr. Zuhal Cakmak Peksen is a Family Medicine Specialist since 2017. She earned her MD from Çukurova University in 2010. She completed specialty training at Yüzüncü Yıl University between 2013 and 2017. She is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in Health Management at Anadolu University (2024–present).

She has 15 years of clinical practice (2010–2025) across 8 institutions. Her experience includes research in Family Medicine (2013–2017) and work at several Family Health Centers. Since 2020, she has served at TOKİ Avrupa Family Health Center in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul.
