He was born in Giresun-Espiye in 1961. He received his primary and secondary education in Espiye and Trabzon. He started his medical education at Hacettepe University, Trabzon Faculty of Medicine in 1978 and graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 1985. He did his 2-year compulsory state service as an Emergency Physician in the Emergency Service of Çanakkale State Hospital. In 1987, he started his specialization training at Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He completed my specialization training in 1993 and started to work as a specialist in the same department. Continuing his professional and academic life at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, he became a professor and chaired the chair.
During and after his specialization training, he was found in various hospitals in many different countries for vocational training and development purposes. In addition to various fields of Cardiovascular Surgery, he has worked for many years in the fields of cardiovascular traumatology, multi- and interdisciplinary cardiovascular surgery, video-thoracoscopic endoscopic surgery and thoracic surgery.
In addition to his academic and surgical professional studies, he has a master's degree in the field of "Health Institutions Management" and has also held managerial positions such as Head of Cardiovascular Surgery Department at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, Deputy Chief Physician, Istanbul University, Revolving Fund Management.
He is amateurishly interested in social sciences in medicine and in this sentence "Medical Humanities" and "Medical illustration".
He has more than 200 articles published in national and international journals, over 200 international scientific citations, various book chapters on different topics, over 150 scientific studies and speeches presented at various national and international meetings.

Dr. Cagdas Erdogan is a gastroenterologist at Ankara Etlik City Hospital. He trained in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He earned his MD from Dokuz Eylul University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency from 2014 to 2019. He then completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at Ankara City Hospital from 2019 to 2022. His clinical focus includes advanced endoscopy (ERCP, EUS, EMR, ESD, POEM, EGD, colonoscopy, double-balloon enteroscopy), inflammatory bowel disease, and hepatology.
He has about 40 publications. His work appears in The Turkish Journal of Gastroenterology, Scientific Reports, Endoscopy, and Digestive Diseases and Sciences. Notable studies address vedolizumab in IBD and prophylaxis for post-ERCP pancreatitis. He also reported a 13-year Crohn’s cohort comparing infliximab and adalimumab. Additional work covers outcomes with an adalimumab biosimilar and innovative endoscopic therapies (MCA via double-balloon enteroscopy, holmium laser for Bouveret syndrome, POEM for Zenker’s diverticulum, and ESD for esophageal papillomatosis).
Wissarut Sakulpaptong, M.D., is a board-certified cardiologist and a cardiology staff member at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. He specializes in advanced echocardiography. His work includes transthoracic and transesophageal studies, strain analysis, 3D and stress echocardiography, and imaging for congenital heart disease. He also holds an M.Sc. (Medicine) from Chulalongkorn University.
His leadership roles include Chief Fellow (2024) and Chief Resident (2022). His awards include Second Prize at the 2025 Echocardiography Annual Scientific Meeting (Heart Association of Thailand), 2021 Outstanding Second-Year Resident, and 2017 Outstanding Medical Graduate. He developed an NSTEMI care pathway, a Screening Echocardiogram Project, and a Home-Visit Warfarin Clinic. He presented research on sepsis-induced myocardial dysfunction. He also contributed to Thailand’s 2022 migraine guideline.

Dr. Ertuğrul Ercan is a Professor of Cardiology. He completed his training at Ege University and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. His main areas of expertise are interventional cardiology, atherosclerosis, valve diseases, and coronary artery disease. He also focuses on inflammation and coagulation, cardiovascular immunology, and stem cell therapy.
Dr. Ercan has held key academic and administrative positions. He served as Head of Cardiology and Dean at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. He was also the Medical Director at İzmir Medical Point Hospital. He gained international experience at the Cleveland Clinic and in Melbourne, Australia.
He holds the European Cardiologist Diploma and is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology. Dr. Ercan is also a member of several national and international cardiology associations and working groups.
Dr. Mustafa Dogdus is a cardiologist who graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine. He has broad experience in treating complex heart conditions. His expertise includes arrhythmias, atrial septal defect (ASD), atrial fibrillation, AVRT, AVNRT, bradycardia, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and structural heart diseases.
He is skilled in advanced interventional procedures. These include ASD, PDA, and VSD closure, EPS-ablation, ICD-CRT-D implantation, and percutaneous coronary and peripheral interventions. Dr. Dogdus worked at Karaman State Hospital and Uşak University Training and Research Hospital cardiology clinics from 2017 to 2022.

Dr. Humayun Kakar is a cardiologist. He earned his medical degree from Eskişehir Osmangazi University between 2007 and 2014. He completed his cardiology residency at İzmir Dokuz Eylül University from 2015 to 2020. In 2024, he received advanced training in heart failure at the University of Zurich in Switzerland.
He has worked at İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi Medical Point Hospital and Konya Cihanbeyli State Hospital. He also took part in advanced heart failure education at the University of Zurich.

Dr. Ugur Taskin is a specialist in interventional cardiology. He treats conditions such as high cholesterol, heart valve diseases, heart failure, and coronary artery disease. He received his medical degree from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Taskin worked at Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine from 2009 to 2014, where he gained valuable experience. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and the Izmir Medical Chamber. These memberships show his dedication to high standards in cardiology.
Dr. Irene Marthe Lang is a leading cardiologist and vascular surgeon at Vienna General Hospital (AKH). She is also a Professor at the Medical University of Vienna. Dr. Lang introduced Austria’s method for widening narrowed pulmonary vessels. She leads research in cardiopulmonary medicine, hemodynamics, and vascular interventions.
Dr. Lang graduated with highest honors, “sub auspiciis praesidentis.” She received national recognition, including an honorary order for her services to Austria in 2016. She leads research teams and manages a modern catheter laboratory. Dr. Lang is known for her work in pulmonary hypertension, vascular biology, and myocardial regeneration.
Professor Marek Ehrlich is a cardiac surgeon at University Hospital Vienna. He has led the hospital’s aneurysm program since 2010. He graduated from the Medical University of Vienna and specializes in cardiac surgery. He has also trained internationally at Stanford, Birmingham, Houston, and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
Dr. Ehrlich has published over 100 scientific articles on aneurysm surgery. He has led research in neuroprotection and endovascular techniques. He has received several international awards for his work. Dr. Ehrlich often speaks at major global conferences. He is fluent in English and Polish.
Dr. Walter Klepetko is a Professor and Head of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at MedUni Vienna and Vienna General Hospital. He is an expert in thoracic surgery, lung transplantation, surgery for bronchial carcinoma, and pulmonary hypertension.
He founded one of the world’s largest lung transplant programs. His team performs over 100 lung transplants each year. In 2018, Dr. Klepetko led the team that performed Niki Lauda’s lung transplant. He is a former president of the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery. He also serves on the board of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery.
Dr. Klepetko has received the Grand Decoration of Honor for services to the Austrian Republic. He was also awarded the City of Vienna Prize for Medical Sciences for his medical and scientific contributions.
