I had a wonderful relaxing stay at Shanti Som, just what I needed following a very busy summer. I was on the weight loss retreat, which I succeeded in, however the food was delicious. Lovely calm atmosphere. And excellent service. I would thoroughly recommend. The only reasons for 4* rating on the room was that I found the room a little on the small side - no table/desk (not sure I’d like to share it!) but also, due to my very much last minute reservation, I was assigned the room right by the kitchens which was a little on the noisy side.
However I will definitely be back!

I highly recommend this retreat, it was easy to book and the service was excellent, the team spoke several languages and patiently answered all our questions, even sending us full details by email which made everything smooth.
The journey itself is already part of the experience, about 20 minutes driving into the mountains surrounded by trees, with glimpses of water views in the distance. It feels like leaving the busy coast behind and entering a completely calm and green environment.
Tip, don’t miss the exit on the road, it comes up quickly and we had to make a U-turn which was tricky, so keep an eye out when approaching.
We chose a half-day pass and really enjoyed every part of it, starting with the sauna which was spacious and relaxing, followed by an excellent massage, and then yoga around the pavilion which felt calm and uplifting.
Lunch was a real highlight, often spa food can be bland but here both the salad and the main dish were fresh and full of flavour, and we finished with a very good coffee.
Tip, bring mosquito repellent as there were quite a few around the pavilion, and in the pool there were insects floating on the water, so it might be disturbing if you want to swim. I didn’t go in, but many others did and it didn’t seem to bother them.
Overall this is a beautiful retreat in Marbella, very peaceful and relaxing, surrounded by greenery and silence, with quality treatments, great food and a welcoming team, definitely worth experiencing and repeating.

We were warmly welcomed from the very first moment, which immediately made us feel at home. The resort is beautifully located, surrounded by greenery, and offers a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere where you can truly enjoy the silence. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and the instructors and therapists are highly skilled and professional. The food is excellent, fresh, and full of flavor. Overall, it’s an absolute recommendation for anyone who is truly in need of rest and relaxation.

Went on a Pilates retreat package, which included daily Pilates and 1x reformer, daily yoga, daily meditation and 1x spa treatment. Access to pool, gym, steam bath and sauna as well as three daily meals. Breakfast was a dream of a buffet, lunch a three-course a-la-carte meal and you choose your dinner out of options offered at lunch. However, what made this stay, in beautiful surroundings, a 5⭐️ stay, was the kind, multi-tasking dream team at what I’d call an intimate, wellbeing hotel. Many questions were answered, many requests met and on more than one occasion did members of the team go well beyond reasonable expections to help me when encountering unforeseen dilemmas. Couldn’t rate Shanti-Som highly enough. ❤️ Hope to be back! 🧘♀️

It was a great, relaxing holiday. The hotel is beautiful, located in a peaceful area surrounded by nature. The yoga pavilion was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the morning meditation and yoga classes there. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The food was amazing - healthy, fresh and varied. The service was excellent — everyone was really friendly and helpful. The yoga classes were wonderful and well adapted to all levels. Many thanks to Kasia and Nathalie — I truly enjoyed their classes and the additional activities like breathwork and sound healing.
I will definitely return one day.
