Surgical Experience

After becoming a general surgery specialist in 1996, I served as a General Surgery and Organ Transplantation Specialist at SSK (social insurance institution), for a period of 9 years. In 2005, was granted the title of Associate Professor-General Surgery. Between 2005 and 2012, I established the kidney transplant centers in İzmir Private Kent Hospital, Istanbul Private Gaziosmanpasa Hospital, and Medicalpark Goztepe Hospital respectively, and served as the chief executive of these centers.

I have worked in İzmir Private Kent Hospital since 2013. I established Obesity Clinic at Gazi Hospital, and performed more than 200 gastric reduction operations.

Social Responsibility

I have worked in the management boards of many associations engaging in scientific and social activities, and served as a founding member in some of them.

The most important one of these is that I have served as a coordinator in the project intended for providing 150.000 elementary school students and 5,000 adults with training on organ donation, for a period of 10 years, through various social activities.1

Dr. Ahmet Turkoglu is a general surgeon who specializes in weight-loss procedures. He performs gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and gastric balloon treatments. He has completed over 2,000 bariatric surgeries. His patients report high satisfaction, and his complication rates are low.

Dr. Ayman is a Medical Doctor and Surgeon specializing in General and Bariatric Surgery, with extensive training and experience in minimally invasive surgery and obesity management.

Doctor earned his Master's Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Brescia in 2005. He then completed his specialization in General Surgery at the same university in 2016, with a thesis titled "Fast track in minimally invasive colon surgery. He has complete autonomy in the clinical management of complex patients and extensive experience in performing a variety of surgical procedures, including major surgeries. His expertise includes gastric and colorectal surgery, bariatric surgery, abdominal wall surgery, videolaparoscopic (VLC) and laparotomic (VLA) procedures, and proctology. He is particularly skilled in performing medium and major surgeries in emergency settings.

Currently, he practices at Maria Cecilia Hospital in Bologna, where he evaluates the degree of obesity and associated conditions. Based on these assessments, he determines the most suitable surgical intervention, such as sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and mini laparoscopic bypass.

He has advanced training in colorectal and abdominal wall surgery from top institutions in Italy and Belgium.

He is an active member of the Italian Society of Obesity Surgery and Metabolic Disorders (S.I.C.OB.) and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), contributing to the advancement of bariatric surgery on an international level.

Dr. Ayman is distinguished by his dedication to patient care and his advanced skills in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery.

Dr. M Altan Kaya is a skilled surgeon. He specializes in gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, breast cancer surgery, and hemorrhoidectomy. He completed advanced training in minimally invasive surgery in Hamburg and Strasbourg. Dr. Kaya is dedicated to using the latest techniques to provide the best care for his patients.

He is a member of several respected surgical societies. These include the Turkish Surgical Association, the Society for Colorectal Tumor Surgery, and the European Society of Oncological Surgeons. Dr. Mustafa Sıtkı Yüksel is an experienced general surgeon. He specializes in obesity and metabolic surgery. He also performs advanced laparoscopic and cancer-related operations. Dr. Yüksel has completed over 2,000 bariatric surgeries. He has also performed many general surgery procedures, such as umbilical hernia repair, nephrectomy, small intestine resection, and thyroidectomy.

Dr. İkram Esen is a plastic surgeon with more than nine years of experience in aesthetic, reconstructive, and microsurgery. He graduated from the Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine. He began his plastic surgery career at Dicle University. He has since practiced at Göztepe Hospital and Natural Clinic.

He has performed thousands of procedures. His main areas include facial aesthetics, breast surgery, body contouring, post-bariatric surgery, genital aesthetics, hair transplantation, and non-surgical aesthetic treatments.

He specialized in General Surgery at Ankara Training and Research Hospital between 2001 and 2006. He worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Ankara Training and Research Hospital between 2006 and 2008 and later at Ordu State Hospital between 2008 and 2013. In 2016, he received the title of Associate Professor in the Department of General Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Izmir University. In 2015, he received the Turkish Surgical Association Proficiency Exam (Board) Certificate of Achievement.
