Dr. Victor Alexander Krol - Chief of Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine and Obesity Treatment Center at Martinus Hospital

Dr. Victor Alexander Krol is a highly qualified specialist, heading the departments of gastroenterology and internal medicine. With many years of experience and deep knowledge in his field, Dr. Krol has established himself as an outstanding expert, providing patients with comprehensive treatment and an individual approach. He actively uses the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, metabolism, as well as diseases of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems.

Dr. Krol is also the director of the certified Obesity Treatment Center at Martinus Hospital, which provides surgical and endoscopic treatments for obesity. The center uses advanced technology to diagnose and treat obesity (adiposis), including methods such as bariatric surgery, endoscopic weight loss, and specialized programs for patients with different stages of obesity. An expert in the comprehensive care of women, she specialised in medical care projects focusing on the Humanised Childbirth Program and the development and promotion of low-intervention obstetric care.

She is currently the Head of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit of the Quirónsalud Marbella Hospital. She has promoted the implementation of a specific protocol for Humanised C-section in this hospital to ensure the active participation of women in the arrival of their babies and a childbirth plan that is similar to natural childbirth.

Dr Blanco Herráez has also promoted the implementation of the current Multidisciplinary Breast Unit, the objective of which is the management of breast cancer, both from the preventative and the early detection points of view, as well as the diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and functional and psychological recovery of patients.

Dr. Everardo Treviño Ortiz is a gynecologist and subspecialist in reproductive medicine. He trained at Tecnológico de Monterrey, the National Institute of Perinatology (INPer), and the Gynecology and Obstetrics Center of Monterrey.

He has professional experience at Texas Woman’s Hospital in Houston, USA. He has also served as a consultant for Nova Fertility in Manchester, UK, and Umbalktum Fertility Center in Hargeisa, Somalia. His thesis was the first study in Mexico on GnRH antagonists. He helped introduce double stimulation (DuoStim) protocols in Mexico and at Advanced Fertility Center Cancún (AFCC). He is fluent in Spanish and English.
