An expert in the comprehensive care of women, she specialised in medical care projects focusing on the Humanised Childbirth Program and the development and promotion of low-intervention obstetric care.

She is currently the Head of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit of the Quirónsalud Marbella Hospital. She has promoted the implementation of a specific protocol for Humanised C-section in this hospital to ensure the active participation of women in the arrival of their babies and a childbirth plan that is similar to natural childbirth.

Dr Blanco Herráez has also promoted the implementation of the current Multidisciplinary Breast Unit, the objective of which is the management of breast cancer, both from the preventative and the early detection points of view, as well as the diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and functional and psychological recovery of patients.

The primary objective of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit of the Quirónsalud Marbella Hospital is to provide a high-quality comprehensive care service to women and their health issues at any of their life stages. Dr. Marc Ulrich Becher is an interventional cardiologist and heart failure specialist at Städtisches Klinikum Solingen. He is known for performing advanced procedures such as coronary angiography, radiofrequency ablation with 3D mapping, carotid angioplasty, and stenting.

Dr. Becher’s clinic carries out about 3,000 to 4,000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures each year. These include complex coronary interventions, catheter-based valve replacements, and structural heart procedures. Thanks to the professor and his team, the department has been modernised by introducing modern surgical methods of treatment and especially improved methods of post-operative recovery. The Department of Surgery at the Solingen Clinic is now further expanding its focus on minimally invasive surgery in the direction of robotics. The clinic has allocated a huge budget for the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment in order to offer patients a full range of surgical methods for the treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the oesophagus, lungs, stomach, liver, pancreas and intestines according to current guidelines and using the most modern technical equipment.

Professor Schenker is an active researcher and lecturer. He lectures at medical universities and organises seminars and workshops for colleagues. He cooperates closely with the Cancer Centre, the Pancreatic Cancer Treatment Centre, the Intestinal Cancer Treatment Centre and the Interregional Trauma Centre.
