Centro Odontológico Doctora Delgado is a private multi-specialty dental center in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The clinic operates from a single building with seven specialized departments. Established in 2018, the practice builds on a 30-year legacy of oral healthcare.

The medical team consists of five doctors. All hold Medical Doctor degrees. Treatment planning starts with a detailed review of the patient's medical history.

Dental Specialties and Surgical Procedures

The clinic treats dental conditions through dedicated departments. These cover restorative, surgical, and aesthetic needs. Specialists focus on long-term tooth preservation and functional rehabilitation.

Dental Implants and Oral Surgery

Surgeons replace missing teeth using titanium screws placed in the jawbone. These screws act as a substitute for the absent tooth root. The implant department performs several advanced bone-related procedures:

• Bone placement (colocación de hueso)
• Maxillary sinus elevation
• Bone expansion

Oral surgery services also include removal of third molars and impacted teeth. Surgeons treat oral lesions and cysts and manage extraction of root remnants.

Orthodontics and Periodontics

The orthodontics department corrects tooth and jaw positioning. Treatment addresses both bite problems and aesthetic alignment. Specialists use cephalometric studies to plan interventions. Options include interceptive orthodontics, braces, and space maintainers.

The periodontics department treats diseases caused by plaque and tartar buildup. This includes gingivitis and more advanced gum conditions. Doctors perform deep scaling, gingivectomy, and root planing to restore gum health. Splints stabilize teeth affected by bone loss.

Endodontics and Prosthodontics

Endodontic care aims to save diseased or non-vital teeth. The clinic provides root canal treatments for both temporary and permanent teeth. This includes specialized protocols for anterior and posterior teeth.

Prosthodontics restores anatomy and function through artificial replacements. The clinic offers two main types of prostheses:

• Fixed prostheses
• Removable prostheses

Dentists in this department specialize in design and material selection. This ensures each prosthesis fits the patient's specific oral anatomy.

Advanced Diagnostic Technology

The clinic uses digital tools to improve diagnostic accuracy. These technologies help identify hidden issues like early-stage caries. The center has several specialized imaging and scanning systems:

• DIAGNOCam for caries detection without radiation
• CEREC Omnicam for digital scanning and diagnostic models
• Panoramic (OPG) and periapical X-ray systems
• Mandible CT imaging
• Electronic axiography for jaw movement analysis
• Florida Probe for precise periodontal pocket measurement

Specialists use Digital Smile Design to plan cosmetic results. Patients can preview outcomes before treatments like veneers or tooth whitening begin.

Services for International Patients

Centro Odontológico Doctora Delgado treats patients from outside the Dominican Republic. A dedicated team supports foreign patients throughout their care. This team coordinates between departments to simplify the treatment process for travelers.
