Valo Dental Studio is a private, multi-specialty dental clinic in Medellín, Colombia. Dr. Julián Vásquez Mendoza founded it in 2009. The clinic operates in the El Poblado district. It has six departments focused on digital dentistry and complex oral rehabilitation.
The clinic focuses on full-arch restorations for patients with total tooth loss. Specialists use All-on-X surgery protocols to provide fixed, screw-retained stability. Patients can choose from several implant-supported hybrid prosthesis configurations:
Dra. Natalia Montoya leads the implantology team with 15 years of experience. She spent over four years working exclusively in oral implantology and reconstructive surgery. Dra. Katherine Gil Tabares specializes in oral rehabilitation for patients with severe tooth wear. All implant procedures use 3D guided surgery for accurate placement and predictable outcomes.
The cosmetic department uses digital workflows to create natural-looking results. Specialists design smiles by analyzing facial harmony and oral function. The clinic offers several veneer options:
Dra. Angélica Loaiza is the lead cosmetic dentistry specialist with nine years of experience. The team uses Digital Smile Design (DSD), so patients can preview their results before treatment. This process combines clinical photography with computer-aided design to match the new smile to each patient's facial features.
Valo Dental Studio operates as a boutique digital clinic. It uses Cerec Omnicam digital scanning instead of traditional molds, which makes impressions more comfortable. The diagnostic suite includes:
Microscopic techniques help preserve natural teeth while clearing deep infections during root canal care. Dra. Sara Restrepo Vélez oversees conscious sedation protocols for patient comfort. Options include nitrous oxide and deep IV sedation. A certified medical anesthesiologist monitors patients during longer procedures.
The clinic runs a dental tourism model to support patients traveling to Medellín. A free virtual assessment via video call is the starting point for international treatment planning. This lets the team provide a digital diagnosis and cost breakdown before the patient leaves home. Staff also help with travel planning and local coordination during the stay.
