Prof. Kang Seok-ho is a urologist who performs robotic surgery. He was the first in Asia to perform robotic stereotactic bladder replacement and expandable pelvic lymphadenectomy. Dr. Kang currently directs the Robot Surgery Center at Korea University Anam Hospital.

Robotic Surgery Achievements

Dr. Kang uses robotic techniques for urological cancers and conditions. He achieved several regional firsts using robotic technology. These milestones include performing Asia's first robotic stereotactic bladder replacement in 2007. He followed this in 2008 by performing the first robotic expandable pelvic lymphadenectomy in the region.

In 2011, he completed Asia's first urinary tract diversion performed entirely within the robot body. He also performs procedures including robotic da Vinci prostatectomy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy. His work aims to improve surgical precision and patient recovery times.
