Aesthetics by Casallas Giraldo is a private clinic located in Bogotá, Colombia. The facility operates with four specialized departments focused on facial plastic surgery and reconstructive procedures. All treatments are provided on an individual basis.
Specialized Medical Team
Two specialists lead the clinic and provide integrated surgical planning for aesthetic and functional concerns. The medical team includes an anesthesiologist, a surgical instrument specialist, and nursing staff.
- Dr. Alexander Casallas is a plastic surgeon with 17 years of experience. He completed a Master in Microsurgery at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Hand Surgery Fellowship at Universidad del Bosque. He lectures in Plastic Surgery at Universidad del Bosque.
- Dr. Ana María Giraldo is an otorrhinolaryngologist with over 7 years of experience. She focuses on functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty and is a member of the Colombian Association of Otorhinolaryngology (ACORL).
Dr. Casallas also holds memberships in the Colombian Society of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery (SCCP) and the Latin American Association of Microsurgery (ALAM).
Advanced Facial and Nasal Surgery
The clinic specializes in Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty. This technique uses high-frequency vibrations to sculpt nasal bones with millimeter precision. It preserves soft tissues, so inflammation is reduced and recovery speeds up. A plastic surgeon and an otorrhinolaryngologist work together to address both appearance and breathing function.
Nasal procedures address several functional and aesthetic conditions:
- Septal deviation to improve airflow
- Nasal tip refinement and projection
- Dorsal hump reduction using bone-preservation methods
- Turbinate reduction for chronic congestion
Facial rejuvenation services include blepharoplasty for eyelid correction and ritidoplastia for signs of aging in the face and neck. The clinic also performs bichectomy to define the midface and mentoplasty to refine chin projection. For non-surgical options, the team uses CO2 and ND-YAG lasers along with Botox and hyaluronic acid.
Body Contouring and Reconstruction
The surgical program includes body procedures for patients after significant weight loss or for localized fat reduction. Liposuction 360° targets the abdomen, arms, and back in a single session. Post-bariatric surgery removes excess skin and redefines body contours through mini-lipectomy or abdominal contouring.
Reconstructive options restore form and function after medical interventions. The clinic provides breast reconstruction after mastectomy using implants, autologous tissue flaps, or combined techniques. This includes nipple-areola reconstruction for a complete aesthetic result. For male patients, the team performs gynecomastia surgery, often with ultrasound-assisted liposuction to remove excess glandular tissue and fat.
Technology and Precision Tools
The clinic uses advanced ultrasonic technology for bone remodeling during rhinoplasty. This equipment replaces traditional hammers and chisels. Surgeons can shape the bone without damaging surrounding skin or mucous membranes. They also use a specialized micromotor with high-precision burs for detailed nasal adjustments. Pre-surgical medical photography and facial analysis support individualized planning.
Support for International Patients
The clinic offers a dedicated experience for foreign patients. Specialists explain what to expect during recovery, including early symptoms like swelling and congestion. This helps patients manage their stay in Bogotá. Recovery support includes specialized splints and dressings to protect the nasal structure during initial healing. Follow-up appointments track the long-term evolution of results over several months.
