Magic Plastic Center is a private plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery clinic. It is located in the La Zurza neighborhood of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. The facility opened on April 1, 2014. It provides individualized surgical and non-surgical treatments.
Accreditations and Social Impact
The clinic holds several official certifications that confirm compliance with local regulations. It is certified by the Ministerio de Salud Pública (MSP) and the Dirección Nacional de Control de Drogas (DNCD). These credentials confirm the facility meets national standards for medical safety and medication control.
Every October, the center runs a dedicated social program. Surgeons perform gigantomastia breast reduction for women with limited financial resources. This initiative supports the local community by providing complex reconstructive surgery to those in need.
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
The surgical department is led by Dr. Carlos Saint-Hilaire Lockward. He trained at the Military Hospital Dr. Carlos Arvelo in Caracas, Venezuela. The team performs a variety of body contouring and facial procedures:
- Liposculpture – extracts fat by aspiration and transfers it to another area.
- Abdominoplasty – a tummy tuck often combined with liposuction for better results.
- Gluteoplasty – gluteal augmentation using either silicone implants or the patient's own fat.
- Rhinoplasty – surgical reshaping of the nose for aesthetic or functional goals.
- Rhytidectomy – a facelift that removes wrinkles to rejuvenate the face and neck.
Body procedures are planned with specific recovery windows. Liposculpture typically requires 15 to 20 days for initial healing. Abdominoplasty patients should expect 20 to 25 days of recovery depending on progress.
Aesthetic Medicine and Cosmetology
The aesthetics unit provides non-invasive alternatives for skin rejuvenation. These treatments require no downtime and no general anesthesia. Specialists offer several advanced skincare options:
- Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) – blood plasma injections that stimulate cell regeneration.
- Microdermabrasion – non-chemical exfoliation using small crystals to remove dead skin cells.
- Hyaluronic Acid – injectable facial fillers that restore volume and smooth deep lines.
- Relaxation Massages – manual therapies to aid recovery and reduce stress.
The clinic also offers blepharoplasty and Botox injections. These options address minor aging signs without a full facelift.
Specialized Equipment and Recovery Technology
The center uses Hyperbaric Oxygenation (TOHB) to speed up healing. Patients sit in a chamber pressurized at a minimum of 1.4 atmospheres. This delivers high oxygen concentrations to blood and tissues. The result: reduced swelling and lower risk of post-operative infections.
The facility is organized into dedicated zones to protect patient privacy. These include private consultation rooms, a specialized operating room, and a cosmetology area. Patients recover in on-site rooms designed for post-surgical monitoring.
Services for International Patients
Magic Plastic Center provides information in English for international medical tourists. Surgeons offer consultations that include a personalized treatment plan. The clinic notes that cosmetic procedures are generally not covered by insurance. Located in Santiago de los Caballeros, the center is accessible for those seeking surgery abroad.
