Total Hair Colombia is a specialized medical center located in Bogotá. The clinic focuses on hair restoration and aesthetic medicine for both men and women. It operates from a single dedicated facility at the Country Medical Center.
Clinic Achievements and Patient Care
Total Hair Colombia has over 12 years of experience in hair restoration. The medical team has treated more than 4,200 patients during this period. All practitioners hold verified ReTHUS registration.
The facility is officially authorized by the Health Secretariat. Specialists stay current through international training, including the Latin American FUE Workshop and sessions in Málaga, Spain.
Hair Restoration and Capillary Therapies
The clinic provides surgical and non-surgical solutions for hair loss and alopecia. Surgeons use DHI and Zafiro FUE techniques for high-density transplantation. These methods produce natural-looking results with precise graft placement.
Specialized restoration services include:
- Beard and mustache transplantation using the FUE technique
- Eyebrow implantation to restore facial harmony
- Capillary mesotherapy using micro-injections of amino acids and vitamins
- Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy to stimulate hair follicle activity
- LED capillary therapy using low-intensity light for follicle stimulation
Dr. Edgar Mateus leads the hair restoration department. He is a specialist in general surgery with experience in surgical education and quality auditing.
Aesthetic Medicine and Skin Care
Beyond hair restoration, the clinic offers a range of aesthetic treatments. These procedures target facial rejuvenation and long-term skin maintenance. Specialists create personalized plans based on an initial medical assessment.
Available aesthetic procedures include:
- Facial PRP therapy for skin biostimulation
- Botulinum toxin injections for wrinkle reduction
- Laser hair removal services
- Facial biostimulation using the Dermapen system
The clinic uses Gimnasia Capilar technology to improve scalp health. This non-surgical method uses ultrasound and laser tools to nourish hair roots. It often complements surgical transplants to improve long-term outcomes.
Patient Safety and Technology
Total Hair Colombia uses specialized equipment for follicle recovery and scalp care. Each patient receives a consultation to create a structured treatment plan. This confirms they are a suitable candidate for their chosen procedure.
Standard equipment for capillary health includes:
- Vaporozono for scalp preparation
- Vibrating brushes for stimulation
- Low-intensity capillary lasers
- Cold massage tools for post-operative recovery
Safety protocols require specific preparation for plasma-based treatments. Patients must avoid alcohol for three days before PRP sessions. They should also skip anticoagulants and fatty meals during this phase.
International Patient Services
The clinic provides structured support for international and national travelers. A dedicated package includes hotel stays at 4-star or 5-star partner properties. Options include the Virrey Park or Morrison 84.
Services for traveling patients include:
- Transfers between the airport, hotel, and clinic
- Virtual assessment for preliminary treatment planning
- VIP accompaniment during the procedure day
- Remote follow-up and periodic monitoring after returning home
The care model includes psychological support for patients undergoing hair restoration. Recovery guidance covers detailed post-procedure steps to protect the treated area. Specialists provide personalized monitoring to help new hair follicles grow successfully.
