Dr. Arnon Nagler is an internationally recognized hematologist and bone marrow transplant expert. He is a Professor of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. He is Director Emeritus of Hematology & Bone Marrow Transplantation and the Cord Blood Bank at Sheba Medical Center. He earned his M.D. from the Hebrew University–Hadassah and an M.Sc. in hematopoiesis from Tel Aviv University. He completed postdoctoral training at Stanford. He is board certified in internal medicine and hematology.

He has more than 35 years of experience. He pioneered reduced‑intensity allogeneic transplant protocols for malignant and non‑malignant diseases. He founded Israel’s first public cord blood bank. He performed the country’s first cord blood transplants.

Prof. Ido Nachmany heads the Second Surgical Department at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in HPB and robotic surgery for diseases of the liver, pancreas, and bile ducts, and for gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors. He also performs adrenal, spleen, and stomach surgery. Forbes listed him among Israel’s top physicians.

He advances minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic techniques. The aim is better precision and faster recovery.

Credentials: Senior Lecturer at Tel Aviv University. Member of ASTS and IHPBA. Completed HPB and abdominal transplant fellowships at the Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute. Dr. Shira Felder is a senior radiation oncologist. She focuses on gynecologic and urologic cancers. She has advanced expertise in VMAT, IMRT, SBRT, and gynecologic brachytherapy. She delivers precise treatment with fewer side effects.

She heads the Gynecologic Oncology Service at Sheba Medical Center. She is a senior physician in the Radiation Oncology Division. She earned her MD at Hadassah. She completed residency at Sheba and a fellowship in the Radiation Medicine Program at the University of Toronto and Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. She is board-certified in Radiation Oncology. Prof. Amit Tirosh is a senior endocrinologist and Head of the Neuroendocrine Tumors Service at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in neuroendocrine tumors (NETs).

His work centers on hereditary NET syndromes. He is affiliated with the NIH in MEN1 research. He serves on an international VHL expert panel and helped write VHL management guidelines. He is the primary contact at Sheba’s multidisciplinary VHL clinic.

He leads the Endocrine Oncology Bioinformatics Lab. He collaborates with international teams, including the Weizmann Institute. He provides advanced NET care, including PRRT.

He earned his MD from the Hebrew University–Hadassah. He completed a residency at Assaf HaRofeh, an endocrinology fellowship at Rabin, and training at the NIH. He is board-certified in Endocrinology. Dr. Almog Ben-Yaacov is an Attending Surgeon in the Department of General and Oncological Surgery (Surgery C) at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in cytoreductive surgery (CRS) with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). His clinical focus includes gastric cancer, sarcoma, and complex colorectal malignancies. Since 2018, he has performed more than 200 HIPEC procedures.

MD, Semmelweis University, 2006, with honors. Training in cardiothoracic surgery at Sheba Medical Center. Residency in general surgery at Montefiore (Albert Einstein) and at Rabin (Beilinson). Board-certified in General Surgery and in Surgical Oncology.

Prof. Zvi Cohen is Director of the Neurosurgery Department and the Neuro-Oncology Unit at Sheba Medical Center. He is a neurosurgeon and neuro-oncology expert. He was included in Forbes Israel’s Best Doctors 2025. He leads clinical research on drug therapies for malignant brain tumors. He also founded Sheba’s brain tumor tissue bank.

He is board-certified in neurosurgery. He trained at Tel Aviv University. He completed fellowships in neuroradiology at Beth Israel and in neurosurgical oncology at MD Anderson. His practice covers complex brain, pituitary, spine, and spinal cord tumors. He has expertise in stereotactic biopsies, image-guided resections, intraoperative MRI, navigation systems, and radiosurgery. He is a member of the Society for Neuro-Oncology and the Israeli Association of Neurological Surgeons.

Professor Jair Bar, MD, PhD, is a thoracic oncologist and Deputy Director of the Cancer Center at Sheba Medical Center. He leads the Thoracic Oncology Unit. He treats lung cancer, including advanced non-small cell cases. His care includes medical oncology, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.

He runs a translational research lab focused on resistance to immunotherapy. He has published on exhaled-breath cancer metabolism and on angiogenesis inhibition in lung cancer.

He has chaired the Israel Lung Cancer Group since 2003. He is a member of the Israel Society of Clinical Oncology and Radiotherapy, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Association for Cancer Research. He is board-certified in Medical Oncology and Radiotherapy Oncology. He is a Senior Lecturer at Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Einat Shacham‑Shmueli is a senior medical oncologist at the Gastrointestinal Clinic, Cancer Center, Sheba Medical Center. She treats cancers of the colon, stomach, and pancreas. She also manages metastatic disease. She uses precision diagnostics and biomarkers, systemic therapies, and radiotherapy. Care is provided within a multidisciplinary team.

She has authored more than 25 peer‑reviewed papers on GI oncology, tumor biology, and new treatments. Her work includes studies on stenting for malignant colonic obstruction. She serves as an investigator in international programs, including the NCI, the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, and the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program.

Dr. Nir Kleinmann, MD, directs the Endourology and Kidney Stones Unit at Sheba Medical Center. He is an expert in minimally invasive urology and urologic oncology. His focus is the kidney and upper urinary tract. He was named among Israel’s Best Doctors for 2025–2026 by Forbes and ResultMed.

He is a pioneer of kidney‑sparing laser surgery. He uses a dual‑laser system with neodymium and holmium for complex tumors. His expertise includes UTUC, kidney and prostate cancer, kidney stones, and BPH.

His research includes the OLYMPUS trial on chemoablation for UTUC. He has more than 60 publications.

He is an Israeli board‑certified urologist. He is a Fellow of the American Endourology Society and a member of the Israeli Urological Association and the EAU. He completed fellowships in Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. He also completed a fellowship in Kidney Cancer Research at McMaster University.

Professor Raanan Berger, MD PhD, is a medical oncologist and radiotherapist. He is Director of the Cancer Center at Sheba Medical Center and heads its clinical research unit. He was listed in Forbes Israel’s “Best Doctors” (2025). He leads the genitourinary oncology program with a focus on prostate cancer. His care includes systemic therapy and radiotherapy in a multidisciplinary, patient-centered model.

He is board-certified in oncology. He earned his MD and PhD at Tel Aviv University and completed his clinical training at Sheba. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Dana-Farber/Harvard, focusing on prostate cancer with Dr. Philip Kantoff and molecular oncology in Dr. William C. Hahn’s lab. He is a member of ESMO and ASCO. He has co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed papers, including studies on outcomes in high- versus very high-risk prostate cancer and on BRCA1/2 in large cohorts.

Professor Dov Zippel is a general surgeon and surgical oncologist. He specializes in breast disease and melanoma. He leads the Meirav Breast Center at Sheba Medical Center. He also serves at the Ella Lemelbaum Institute for Immuno-Oncology. In 2025, Forbes Israel named him to its Best Doctors list.

Expertise: advanced care for benign and malignant breast tumors. Minimally invasive and breast-conserving surgery. Surgical treatment of melanoma and other skin cancers.

He pioneered some of Israel’s first robotic oncologic resections of the stomach and pancreas. He is among a small group worldwide who perform minimally invasive Whipple procedures (pancreaticoduodenectomy) using advanced laparoscopy. Dr. Zohar Dotan is Head of the Urology Department at Sheba Medical Center. He is a leading uro-oncologist and a pioneer of robotic and laparoscopic urologic surgery in Israel.

He has authored more than 50 scientific publications. He is a regular speaker at international conferences. He has received awards from the American Association of Clinical Surgery, including recognition for research in prostate cancer treatment.

Prof. Ben Boursi is a physician in the Gastrointestinal Cancer Department at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in internal medicine, medical oncology, and cancer epidemiology. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He earned a B.Med.Sc (summa cum laude) and an MD (magna cum laude) from Tel Aviv University.

He completed clinical and research fellowships in GI oncology and cancer epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed electives at MD Anderson and Mayo Clinic. He founded the ECOG-ACRIN Microbiome Working Group. His microbiome-oncology research has been published in leading journals, including Science, and highlighted by ASCO.

He developed predictive models for early diagnosis of colorectal and pancreatic cancers. These models are now in clinical evaluation. He holds an academic appointment at Tel Aviv University. He is also an Associate Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania.
