Dr. Piyaphon On-phoon specializes in anti-aging and regenerative medicine. He also provides chelation therapy and immune therapy with high-dose vitamin and nutrition infusions.

He treats erectile dysfunction and offers hormone replacement therapy. He provides preventive care for noncommunicable diseases such as hypertension, atherosclerosis, diabetes, and dyslipidemia. Dr. Nermina Alagic is an attending cardiologist at Anadolu Medical Center in Istanbul, a Johns Hopkins Medicine affiliate. She graduated from Istanbul University–Cerrahpaşa. She completed her cardiology residency at Istanbul Mehmet Akif Ersoy Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Hospital (2014–2018). She focuses on cardiac imaging. She has expertise in 2D/3D transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography (TTE/TEE). She advanced this training through research at the UAB Echo Lab (2015) and hands-on 2D/3D TEE work in the TEE Lab (2018–2019).

Her research covers photomedicine and cardiology. Her papers appear in Journal of Biomedical Optics, PNAS, Photochemistry and Photobiology, Echocardiography, Minerva Cardioangiologica, and Archives of Medical Science (2013–2020). She completed a clinical and interventional cardiology observership at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney (2019). She also worked at the Harvard Medical School Wellman Center for Photomedicine (2012–2013). She is a full member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology, and an EACVI silver member. Award: ASP Fredrick Urbach Memorial Student Travel Award (2013).

Dr. Fatih Mehmet Ucar is an interventional cardiologist at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital. He specializes in electrophysiology and arrhythmia treatment. Dr. Ucar completed residency training at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States. He also underwent electrophysiology training at Lübeck Hospital in Germany.

Dr. med. Armin Sause is the Chief Physician of Cardiology and Rhythmology at Helios University Hospital Wuppertal, a leading German heart center. Under his leadership, the department has become a specialized center for rhythmology and electrophysiology. The team uses modern technologies and evidence-based treatment protocols.

His expertise includes atrial fibrillation therapy, catheter and radiofrequency ablation with 3D mapping, pacemaker and ICD implantation, and advanced electrophysiological diagnostics. He is known for minimally invasive arrhythmia care and holds European certifications in electrophysiology. Prof. Dr. Rifat Eralp Ulusoy is a cardiologist specialized in clinical cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging. He focuses on echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and stress echocardiography. He also treats heart valve disease, hypertension, heart failure, and cardiomyopathies. He has held academic and clinical roles at leading centers in Turkey and the United States. He is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology.

He has written more than 125 scientific papers and has over 1,400 citations. His clinical interests include heart tumors and cardiac care for cancer patients. He also works on cardiology in chronic kidney failure and dialysis. Other interests are heart disease in pregnancy, pericardial diseases, and heart valve infections.

Dr. Cenk İndelen is a cardiovascular surgery specialist. He has practiced since 2002. He has worked at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital since 2025. He completed his residency in thoracic, cardiovascular, and vascular surgery at Kocaeli University (1996–2002). He became an associate professor in 2023.

His focus is patient blood management and cardiothoracic optimization. He has published on transfusion cost-effectiveness and PBM implementation (Cardiovasc J Afr, 2023). He has also reported on the economics of aortic valve replacement (Heart Surg Forum, 2023) and techniques in coronary, mitral, and aortic surgery. His work also appears in JAMA (2023), Crit Care Med (2025), and Transfusion (2025).

Dr. Zuhal Cakmak Peksen is a Family Medicine Specialist since 2017. She earned her MD from Çukurova University in 2010. She completed specialty training at Yüzüncü Yıl University between 2013 and 2017. She is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in Health Management at Anadolu University (2024–present).

She has 15 years of clinical practice (2010–2025) across 8 institutions. Her experience includes research in Family Medicine (2013–2017) and work at several Family Health Centers. Since 2020, she has served at TOKİ Avrupa Family Health Center in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul.

Dr. Gabriel Crasmariu is an interventional cardiologist with advanced expertise in minimally invasive treatments for cardiovascular disease. He is a member of the Romanian Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology.

He performs coronary angiography and angioplasty with stent placement. His focus includes complex coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, renal denervation, and TAVI. He also provides specialized heart failure assessments. He takes part in multidisciplinary decisions for patients who may need cardiac surgery.

Cardiovascular Surgery Residency 

Dr. Yigit Changa is an Associate Professor of Cardiology. He received advanced training at Dr. Siyami Ersek Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital. He became a cardiology specialist in 2016 and completed his residency in 2010. Dr. Changa is a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and the Turkish Medical Association.

He has worked at leading hospitals, including Ataşehir and Kadıköy Florence Nightingale Hospitals. Dr. Changa speaks English fluently. He has a solid academic and clinical background in cardiology.

Professor Byung-Hee Oh, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist at Incheon Sejong Hospital. He graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine. He completed training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Seoul National University Hospital. His clinical focus includes heart failure, coronary artery disease, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and preventive cardiology.

He served as Professor of Cardiology at Seoul National University. He also served as Director of a cardiovascular center and Head of the Division of Cardiology. He was President of the Korean Society of Cardiology and led national heart failure and hypertension groups. He has authored hundreds of peer-reviewed publications. He has given invited lectures at major international cardiology conferences and received national honors.

Dr. David (Dudi) Mishali, MD, is Director of Pediatric and Congenital Cardiothoracic Surgery at Sheba Medical Center. He treats infants and children with congenital heart defects. His work includes rare, high-risk anomalies and complex newborn reconstructions.

He trained internationally. He completed his residency at Rabin Medical Center and clinical fellowships in cardiac surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and in congenital pediatric cardiothoracic surgery at UCSF. He is board certified in cardiothoracic surgery. He developed and implemented minimally invasive methods that reduce surgical trauma and improve cosmetic results.

He is a Senior Lecturer at Tel Aviv University’s Sackler Faculty of Medicine. He has written many peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, including on point-of-care testing in children during cardiopulmonary bypass and on accessory mitral valve tissue. He holds a leadership role at a hospital ranked among the world’s top 10.

Professor Jair Bar, MD, PhD, is a thoracic oncologist and Deputy Director of the Cancer Center at Sheba Medical Center. He leads the Thoracic Oncology Unit. He treats lung cancer, including advanced non-small cell cases. His care includes medical oncology, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.

He runs a translational research lab focused on resistance to immunotherapy. He has published on exhaled-breath cancer metabolism and on angiogenesis inhibition in lung cancer.

He has chaired the Israel Lung Cancer Group since 2003. He is a member of the Israel Society of Clinical Oncology and Radiotherapy, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Association for Cancer Research. He is board-certified in Medical Oncology and Radiotherapy Oncology. He is a Senior Lecturer at Tel Aviv University.

Professor İlhan Mavioğlu is a cardiovascular surgeon and leads the Cardiovascular Surgery Outpatient Clinic. His focus areas include total arterial revascularization. He performs minimally invasive off-pump anaortic CABG (MACAB) and MIDCAB. He also performs awake carotid surgery. He manages peripheral vascular and endovascular procedures, including chimney TEVAR, EVAR, BEVAR, FEVAR, PEVAR, and CERAB, and handles related complications.

Dr. Purich Surunchupakorn, MD, is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology. He also trained in interventional cardiology.

Dr. Kyung-Hee Kim, MD, PhD, is Director of the Heart Transplantation Center and Head of Cardiology at Incheon Sejong Hospital. She earned her MD, MS, and PhD at Seoul National University College of Medicine. She completed international fellowships, including research at the Mayo Clinic.

Her expertise includes advanced heart failure, transplant evaluation and management, mechanical circulatory support (VAD, ECMO), pulmonary hypertension, complex cardiomyopathies, and genetic, valvular, and adult congenital heart disease.

She leads multidisciplinary cardiac care. She develops clinical protocols and education programs and contributes to research and guideline development in pulmonary hypertension and heart failure. She serves on the AHA Clinical Cardiology Membership Committee.
